| Biography: | Emma L. Easteppe received her M.A. degree in Philosophy and an Honors B.A. in Philosophy & History from St. Louis University. She has taught philosophy at Boise State since 1998, and previously taught Introduction to the Greek Tradition and Human Nature and Values at St. Louis University. Areas of specialization include ancient, process thought, and the perceptual scheme of Alfred North Whitehead. Current research interests include aesthetics, theories of mind, and global issues in applied ethics. As an independent researcher, editor and free-lance writer, she has contracted with non-profit associations and institutions of higher education to produce promotional materials and strategic planning documents. She has researched, written and edited articles and publications in international political affairs, social health policy, economic development and trends in higher education. Since fall of 2005, she has embarked upon the challenge of adopting active learning strategies and teaches in both hybrid and online environments. Emma's passions include reading autobiographical writings of great thinkers and teaching philosophy. |
